Today, more than ever, the issue of eco-sustainability<\/strong> is a hot topic with companies. We are called to be increasingly aware of the environmental impact that our work brings along with it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our Laboratorio Poligrafico<\/strong> didn\u2019t want to remain on the sidelines, and so we\u2019ve chosen to take part with real solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The use of recycled and recyclable film<\/h3>\n

We specialize in the treatment of synthetic substrates: we have spent years coming up with solutions that involve the use of film from recycled material<\/strong>s that are 100% recyclable at end-of-life.<\/p>\n

Complete removal of harmful, toxic liquids<\/h3>\n

We have chosen to eliminate all toxic liquids<\/strong> used in the development and gumming process<\/p>\n

Recycling and reuse of ink-cleaning solvents<\/h3>\n

\n<\/div>

<\/p>\n

In order to obtain tangible results, we decided first to make changes to our production mechanisms<\/strong>. To contrast the pollution caused by ink disposal<\/strong>, we designed a system<\/strong> that allows for the distillation<\/strong> of cleaning solvents. The distillation residues do not exceed 5% of the distilled product.<\/p>\n

With this process, we can reuse the liquids<\/strong> without having to dispose of them. This way, we have practically eliminated the use of solvents<\/p>\n

System of ink drying with LED technology<\/h3>\n

\n<\/div>

<\/p>\n

We have adopted a method for drying ink with LED technology, which allows us to eliminate both the production of ozone gas<\/strong> \u2013 which is generated during the polymerization of UV inks \u2013 and the use of mercury<\/strong> \u2013 which is necessary for UV Curing systems.<\/p>\n

In comparison to the standard system of mercury drying, the LED approach saves 80% of energy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reuse of wastepaper and recyclable film<\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

Wastepaper and film<\/strong> produced by our company are sent to specialized facilities where they undergo a process to be reused. This waste gets transformed into clothing apparel, everyday items<\/strong>, or new materials<\/strong> for the graphic industry.<\/p>\n

Recycling aluminum from Offset printing plates<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We have chosen to recover the aluminum <\/strong>from Offset printing, smelting the plates.<\/p>\n

Automatic pre-set to reduce waste during production<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We have developed an automated pre-set<\/strong> system on our printing machinery that cuts by more than 60%<\/strong> the number of sheets, ink, and production waste<\/strong> needed to reach our quality standards.<\/p>\n

Biodegradable and compostable fillers<\/h3>\n

Another result we are proud of is the use of compostable fillers<\/strong> in the empty spaces of our boxes <\/strong>to protect their contents. We have opted for padding <\/strong>made with a film<\/strong> derived from<\/strong> corn<\/strong> that is 100% biodegradable and compostable.<\/p>\n

The use of recycled paper or with FSC Certification \u00ae<\/h3>\n

We solely and exclusively use recycled or FSC Certified paper<\/strong> (FSC-C139028) to carry out our projects. FSC Certification attests that the paper used in our printing was made with materials that respect forestation management standards.<\/p>\n

Sustainable air-conditioning<\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/p>\n

A geothermal-like system provides the air-conditioning in our work sections: cold water circulates from our well to the hydraulic circuits of the conditioning system.<\/p>\n

In this way, we eliminate the need for air conditioners<\/strong>, which use highly pollutant refrigerant gases.<\/p>\n

Energy-saving lights<\/h3>\n

In our plan to move increasingly toward energy saving, we have equipped the company with LED lights<\/strong> and high efficiency \/ low consumption lighting systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re just getting started: our research and development department works every day to conceive and implement real, sustainable actions in our company.<\/p>\n
